Spring 2026
WACO, TEXAS — Baylor University’s FM72 has become a staple in the school’s annual activities, bringing students together for 72 hours of prayer, worship, preaching, and outreach.
The event began in 2018 after campus leaders coordinated a 24-hour prayer service. By the spring of 2019, campus ministers and local churches became involved, moving the gathering to Fountain Mall to increase visibility across campus.
During the day, the prayer tent remains open around the clock, with students stopping by between classes for Bible study, prayer, and conversation.
Each evening at 8 p.m., the atmosphere shifts as large crowds gather on Fountain Mall. Approximately 3,000 students attend nightly Sunday through Wednesday to hear speakers, worship, and pray.
One of the most significant moments of FM72 comes on Wednesday night during baptisms. This year, 61 students were baptized following worship and preaching.
What began as a small step to grow faith at Baylor has developed into a university-wide movement led by students.
