WACO, TEXAS — McLane Stadium is set to host one of its biggest musical events to date. Post Malone and Jelly Roll will be performing on May 19 on the Baylor Bears’ home turf.
Both artists are Grammy-nominated, with Jelly Roll being the recipient of three Grammy awards. Post Malone holds the record for most Grammy nominations, 18, without a win. Despite Malone’s lack of Grammy awards, he is the headliner and the biggest draw to the Waco event.
Malone is a consistent chart topper, with six different number-one singles on the US Billboard Hot 100 throughout his career. Many Baylor students are enthusiastic for his performance, including Baylor senior Kevin Kohl.
“Post Malone is sick,” Kohl stated. “I’m really looking forward to his concert, I’m really excited.”
The event is set to draw thousands, from Waco locals and Baylor students to fans from out of town. McLane Stadium officials will look to use the concert to raise its profile for future musical endeavors
